Look at the brow hair
The shade name on a package is only a starting point. Look at your brow hair, the depth of colour and the finish you prefer. A product that looks similar in its packaging may look different after application or drying.
Compare like with like
Where a shop permits a safe product test, compare a small amount in daylight. Keep the lighting consistent when comparing shades. A screen photograph cannot reliably establish an exact colour match.
Build gradually
Start with a small area and look at the overall effect. Blend with a clean brush before adding more colour. Texture, brush shape and the amount used influence the finish as well as the shade name.
Questions before buying
Check the actual shade offered, the size and the removal directions. Do not infer the product colour from an editorial photograph. For brows following a treatment, obtain individual instructions before applying makeup to the area.
